KPRO_DATA_CARRIER_work station_problem-urgent help

Hello Team,

I am facing the below problem in my client 100 during initial set up of DMS.

1) I have defined new document type which is a KPRO from copying the standard doc type DRF.----- during this time i was not able to load and save any file, then after browsing through threads i was able to do the below settings.

2) Define data carrier as PC in data carrier type server front end,

data carrier - PC, Path - C:\temp, select this line and click on define servers and files and folders

3) Here i was little bit confused but some how have defined the below,

data carrier - KPRO ( this field is taking any word i type, hence i have doubt whether i am right or wrong).

type is PC as above.

4) Moving to identify front end computers below are given

Front end computer - Default

Data carr. type- PC

New address - DEFAULT

Description - DEFAULT FOR L:OCAL PC

If i do this and use the document type while saving it goes to dump (ABAP ERROR).

But just for testing sake, I am able to save only if i use non KPRO in that doc type.

But even if i use non KPRO to doc type, system shows new error while cheking in that no archive memory is 0 and cannot check in.

Hence please help me on the same. I need KPRO and no errors.

Please educate me if i am wrong in data carrier and work station sections.

Hi,

Can you check the settings for doc type DRF. Whether KPRO is selected or not.

Yes i checked and if it selected KPRO, it shows ABAP error and goes to dump.

Hi Satish,

Can you share the configuration settings done for your custom doc type which you created as a copy from DRF.

Also can you check whether any status has been maintained for this custom doc type.

Hello Deepak,

Please find the below configuration details,

1) Document type- AJD

Checked KPRO

Have not checked---- Archiving Authorization, Status change

Have checked Rev level, Version Assgnm, change docs.

Unchecked- CM relevance, taken internal number range

number exit is MCD0KZNR when i clicked on default button next to it.

version incr -

---

1 and file size is 0

Remaining all fields are blank

Hi Satish,

What is the ABAP dump you are getting ? is the runtime error shown as TABLE_FREE_IN_LOOP.

if yes then refer to the following link and do the necessary. It would solve your problem.

Hello Team,

That's great. I was facing that tree loop error only.

As per solution shared in the link i went to SE16 added the entries manually in the table which were not available by comparing the screen shot. Now i have below two new problems,

1) I just refreshed the table after adding the missing entries went back and when i tried to save data browser screen which used to come after you enter table name its asking for a variant. some how i did not enter anything here i just came out.

2) I complete logged off and looged in again went to CV01n screen and added the file. IT checks in to the content server which we have designed. but while saving it gives error like

"Error while checking in and storing:C:\Documents and Settings\satish\Desktop\Terminolo" and message no is 26253.

But if i try saving the same in DMS_C1_ST it saves.

Please help and let me know if any more details are required.
