Mitigation controllers mass maintain

Hello experts,

We are on CC 5.3 SP 16. I am looking to export the data file through utilities on mitigation's tab and remove a controller as admin and replace the deleted controller with a new user/controller on control monitor for the users, controls. I am not able to successfully upload the file back. It gives me a error M is an invalid system. I think i am corrupting the file while i am opening it in excel and saving back to text. Do we have any specific steps to follow to be able to successfully import the file back. Any help is highly appreciated.

Quick check,

By any chance did you remove the system ID's, which is usually the top line of the file? Also what encoding format has the text file been saved as? ANSI or UTF-8? I know 5.3 is abit temperamental with ANSI format.

I would open it in wordpad, and see if by change some random padding characters have crept in.
