Dear experts,
Could you please let me know which option is the most suitable (with two separate servers) ?
1) Setting-up the SAP application server and the related Oracle 11.2.0.2 database on the same operating system (RHEL 5.5)?
2) Setting-up the SAP application server on RHEL5.5 and the related Oracle 11.2.0.2 database on OEL5.5?
3) Setting-up the SAP application server and the related Oracle 11.2.0.2 database on OEL5.5?
This brand new SAP landscape will be setup on an existing HA Infrastructure (vSphere, DB clustering, ...) where hundreds of other non-SAP applications are running and we would like to stay compliant with existing IT policies and services like OS patchset updates/sharing.
Thanks for your advices,
Ludovic
Hi!
I would go for solution 1).
Are running on RHEL5.7 here.

Hello,
Option 1 would be better.
Better to keep only one type of OS for both - SAP App and the DB
Thanks
