GRC PC 3.0 Certification Question

Our company is currently using GRC Process Controls 3.0 to manage our SOx Compliance program (Regulation SOX). We went live with the system in June of this year, and have completed certifications for timeframe u201CQuarter 2u2019 and u2018Quarter 3u2019 of 2011 in the system. We are planning to complete our u2018Quarter 4u2019 2011 certification in February of 2012. Based on this certification strategy I have the following questions I am hoping the community can help me address:

By certifying for the timeframe of u2018Quarter 4u2019 2011, will this lock down the timeframe of u2018Yearu2019 2011 or do we need to schedule a separate certification task to do this?

Before completing our u2018Quarter 4u2019 2011 certification, we will need to begin scheduling and completing tests for the timeframe of u2018Quarter 1u2019 2012. Are there any limitations with scheduling/completing tests in a new year before a prior yearu2019s certification is complete?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Aaron,

You will need to do a sign off in order to get the information locked, I mean, the whole process in the PC works like that: you complete the assessments for the quarters or other timeframe you have defined based on your business needed and then after all done you can do a sign off evaluation for the year 2011 and it will close the information.

As you said you will have to do some evaluations for quarter 1 of 2012 it wont be a problem during the sign off, the most indicate is that if you could finish the sign off prior of the quarter 1 of 2012 evaluations it will be better but not a requirement!

Please, let me know if I can add some more valuable information to you?

Thank you and regards,

Claud Araujo
