Hi,
We convert PPDS orders in APO and they come over to R/3 as process orders via CIF. We have noticed that the process orders in R/3 miss out some components.
We do run RAPOKZFX everyday, so it is not an issue of a master data inconsistency.
We are trying to debug. Does any one know the code where the BOM gets exploded in the CIF?
Thanks,
Zeeshan.
HI,
When a planned order is created in APO then PPM/PDS explosion takes place which takes the BOM components from it.
When you convert the PPDS order to Production or Process order then conversion happens in ECC/R/3 system. This is the place BOM has to be reexploded. I think this is not happening. There is a note which has to implemented in R3/ECC system if this does not happen.
Why this explosion is required is in R3/ECC system BOM can have 5 materials in it, where as in APO there can be only 3 materials in the PPM/PDS it is.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Zeeshan.
If the components that are missing in the order are APO-Relevant (e.g. contain an active integration model), please make sure that they are present in the source of supply (be it PPM or PDS) as otherwise they will be filtered in ECC inbound during order transfer.
edit: if the components are present in newly created planned orders and are filtered only after integration, this is not a PDS/PPM explosion issue, but if you want to know where the explosion starts in PPDS, the function module is /SAPAPO/RRP_EXPLODE.
