Please explain me in short and simple what is realignment and why it is used?

Hi ,

Realignment option works with Mpos . suppose , you have new prod LED32 and dont have CVC created for that . similar prod LCD32 is available then you can copy existing cvc of LCD32 to LED32 . No need to create manually . you mention source prod as LCD32 and taget as LED32. you will find all cvc with data is copied to LED32 from LCD32. If yo u want you can delete CVC for LCD32 by selecting delete checkbox.

Realignment is the process of adding and deleting CVC in DP, BI or SPP. For example of CVC:

-unit sales by Country

or another different CVC could be:

-unit sales by Region

From this example, you have same level of hierarchy for sales but different levels in the geographic hierarchy. If your company begins offering a product for a new region - then both region and country CVCs must be updated.
