Scenario (IDOC(PO) to Vendor)

What are all the configuration thats need to be done on a Sender IDOC Scenario both on the R/3 and on XI.

It would be very nice if you could list them one by one. Appreciated.

In Integration Repository:

1) Import IDOC

2) Create Datatype Vendor

3) Create Messagetype Vendor

4) Create Message-Interface Vendor

5) Create Message-Mapping IDOC --> Vendor Messagetype

6) Create Interfacemapping IDOC --> Vendor Message-Interface

In Integration Directory

1) Create NO Sender agreement for IDOC sender (not neeeded)

2) Create Receiver determination for Vendor

3) Create interface determination for Vendor

4) Create receiver agreement with communication channel for Vendor

Michal, so if we are on SP16 then we need sender agreement on the Sender IDOC Scenario?

That means should I need to Build the Sender IDOC too?

Why from SP16 we need the Sender Agreement even for the Sender IDOC Scenario?

Hi,

On SP16 You don't need sender agreement. We have a lot of such scenarios and SP16.

sorry maybe it's from SP17

I'm not sure about the SP

from which the sender agreemend for IDOCs works

but if you biuld your scenario

with directory wizard it will create if for you

if it's necessary on your SP

hi,

can you try creating a new IDOC flow

with directory wizard ?

it may work for compalibility reasons only

so it does not have to mean that this is

a good way not to have them

Hi Michal,

Do you mean that creating sender areement for IDOCs is some kind of best practice?

I thoght that always IDOC adapter acts as a sender agreements filling interface, service and namespace.

hi,

no but using the ID wizard we had an message:

no sender agreement necessary

for IDOCs and http

now I don't see it and the sender agreement is

being created for both so maybe that's how SAP

wants to work now don't you think ?

hi,

with HTTP it's more obvious

if you don't use sender agreement you don't have

adapter specific values (from sender)

maybe SAP plans to add some of them to IDOC

adapter too ? who knows

Hi,

don't think so but have a look at table:

Obligatory Sender Agreements

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b1/f29e7a56e18a439984a3c6630951d2/content.htm

it shows for which you need it

and for which you can (or not) have it

but I'd realy on the ID wizard

BTW

did you notice that we have a sender IDOC channel ?

which was disabled in previous SPs

michal

Hi Rohini,

Configuration in the Sender SAP R/3 System.

Step 1: Define Logical Systems for Sender and Receiver Systems (SALE)

Step 2: Assign the Sender Logical Systems to the Client(SALE)

Step 3: Create RFC destination to SAP XI(SM59)

Step 4: Maintain Distribution Model and Distribution Views ....not used in this case ... sorry for the confusion.

Step 5:Port maintanance in IDX1

Step 5: Send the Idocs to the Receiver

Configuration in SAP XI

Step 1: Define Logical Systems for Sender and Receiver Systems

Step 2: Assign Receiver Logical System to client

Step 3: Create RFC destination to SAP R/3 Step 4: Port maintenance in IDoc adapter

Step 5: Load IDoc Metadata

and also check these....

hi,

Step 5: Maintain Distribution Model and Distribution Views

Step 6: Distribute the Model View

any particular reason to build a Distribution Model

for a PO as you have all the filtering in MN04?

Rohini,

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cdded790-0201-0010-6db8-beb...

How to sample IDOC scenarios is a very good document for IDOC scenarios. Should help.
