Hi,

Netweaver 7.3 AS ABAP or AS Java application server needs a Windows version no less than 2008.

In other words, you will not be able to install NW 7.3 Application server on Windows Server 2003.

As per the PAM, the non server components like (LiveCache, TREX, Content Server etc) can be installed on Windows Server 2003. But the components like AS ABAP, Java need Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2.

Thank you very much.

It seems to Windows server 2003 don't support NW 7.3. When I installing NW 7.3 ABAP Server on Windows 2003, the prerequisite checker tip it need Windows server 2008 R2.

Hi,

Looks like you have gone ahead with installation on Windows 2003. Please note that SAP will deny any support for the system as it is not setup as per recommendation. Hence its not recommended to go against the recommendation If your system is for test/demo purpose you 'may' go ahead. But if for productive use, go as per the recommendation.
