Creation of allocation tables

Former Member

Hi,

We use the aloocation table functionality within SAP retail to create distribution orders for stock being sent to our stores. At the moment, the tables are created manually but I have been asked if it is possible to upload this data from a spreadsheet. Any ideas? (I have looked in LSMW but I'm not able to find an Idoc which would work to achieve this.)

All suggestions welcome.

Many thanks,

Steph.

I'm assuming that by "tables created" you mean that data is populated in the tables, not that actual new tables are created in dictionary.

LSMW does not necessarily need to use IDocs, it can also use BDC. I'm not sure if there is any "out of the box" LSMW available for this process (unfortunately, I don't know anything about Retail). If not - most likely you'd be better off creating a custom ABAP program, which could utilize BDC, standard function module(s) or even direct database update, depending on the requirements.

There are also third party tools, like Winshuttle.
