sap lock management and sapgui logo on right hand side

Hello,

Two questions:

1. I work on invoice on edit mode via sapgui. Suddenly I loose connection due to network issue.

What is going on with this invoice lock? Is it still locked in system?

2. We have company logo at sapgui right hand side after logon. Is this logo buffered somehow or is it downloaded from sap system every time I log in?

Not sure, sometimes it might remain locked sometime not. Most probably, whatever data you have entered in edit mode, will be lost and invoice will not remain locked.

Not sure what do you mean by 'buffered' but yes that logo is permanently 'configured'/'saved' in that particular SAP system. So whenever you launch sapgui logon initial screen you will see that logon unless someone 'removes' that configuration.

In case of logo I mean "buffered" as sapgui download this logo and it is stored somehow (on disk?) so it is not necessary to display it from server every time user logs on.

Hi,

The logo is downloaded each time one user logs in. That's why it is very important to choose a "light" logo image (light as small KB size) because each morning when thousands of users log in nearly at the same time, you could get a network bottleneck and bad performance.
