Opening up specific transaction in Change mode in production

Need some advice from the gurus.

I have a tcode I want to be able to edit data in directly in production. Tcode is S_KK4_13000266. This tcode is a CFM transaction that controls the reference interest rates used for NPV calculations on various instruments we have in place.

The right way to make changes is via transport. The issue we face is that due to the specialized nature of one of our derivatives, we need to make changes to these reference interest rates almost daily. This becomes an issue at month end at sometimes changes need to happen literally right away and cannot wait to go thru change control. Internal audit has blessed this approach.

The issue is that we cannot seem to get this tcode to be editable in our production environment. These are the settings we have in place in SCC4:

- no changes allowed

- no changes to repository and cross-client customizing objs

However we do have edit access for the following tcodes in production:

S_ALR_87008537 and S_SLR_87008528

Can someone recommend a way to allow this access, even if on a temporary basis? Is this a Basis or a security issue specifically? Is something specific with that tcode?

Thanks!!!

Your track record of following up on questions is a bit sloppy (7 out of 9 are open) and the answer is covered in most introduction SAP Education training courses to customizing.

A relatively simple search for "how to change tables in production" should also have sufficed (searching for the transaction name is not required as it is not transaction specific. It is an attribute of the viiew).

Take a second shot at it with a srarch and let us know whether you get stuck and want to discuss the merits of the "current settings" option. Perhaps you would like to transport and maintain in the target system as well.. also that is possible, but not advisable.

Makes for an interesting discussion. Keep us posted.

Cheers,
