auto putaway blocked for bin

Hello, Many bins in one of the storage type is blocked for putaway. This is done automatically.

How is this done and how to stop it?

You can do it with T-code LS02N and block it for putaway or picking (Removal) by making a tick at the relevant box.

Silas, You are talking about blocking, I am skng about the block which is already kep automatically. Want to know if there is any setting which does this block automatically.

Hi,

For those storage types where you are seeing the block automatically happening, can you check the customising of these storage types. There is a flag in the storage type config which allows you to block on stock placement / putaway and you may have this set.

Goto menu path:

SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Master Data -> Define Storage type

For the relevant storage types and warehouse numbers, check if flag "block upon stock plcmt" (T331-SKZEI) or "block upon stock rmvl" (T331-SKZAU) is set. If it is, remove it and retest.

There is no block check in config, still its blocked automatically in bins.

So you unblock a bin and the sytem puts a block on it again? Can you tell when this happens? (after stock placement or removal or??) LS08 can be used to block or unblock an entire storage type (or simply a range of bins)

Do you see the block for placement or removal in LS03N? If not this could be related to cycle count activity...

Thanks Arakish, This is setup automatically when Putaway is done, not sure but looks like related to cycle count.

check for cycle count documents with status not equal to cleared, complete them then check if issue persists
