How to Stop and Start Separate Instances on the SAP Web AS 4.0

I have two instances on my Sap WebAS 6.4 connecting to two different Oracle Dbs which we access thru links :

http://<Server Name>/test/ and http://<Server Name>/prod/

How can i stop and start these web server instances individually ?(Whenever i use the SAP console the entire Web Server stops and restarts.)

Hello Ravi,

first of all spend some time with the architecture manual. there is no independent webserver instance. The webserver is integrated into the server. What you seem to have is a cluster, that means there is two servers running both of your applications. That is something completely different.

When you shutdown the server, the watchdog is activating and starting it up again.
