When a PO gets converted to a limit PO, Shopping Carts goes back to SOCO

Hi Gurus,

We are on SRM5 (server 550), ECC6.0, Classic Scenario.

The scenario is as follows, SC is created as describe requirement. It goes to sourcing and the buyers ceates the PO.

Then it is determined that the PO needs to be converted toa limit PO. Once converted the SC ventures back to SOCO and it some times it gest sourced again.

Im looking into Note 1247922 - Change of External Requirement sends requirement to SOCO to stop this from happening.

Is it a way to stop it via config? Is it normal behavior?

Please advise.

Hello Ricardo,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

"When you have a cart which is converted to a PO and later on this PO is converted to a limit PO, quantities will not be considered in this PO, so cart will go back to sourcing cockpit."

Is there a way to stop this behavior? or I need to look into development?

Hello,

When you have a limit cart, which created a limit PO and this limit PO is deleted, cart will not go back to sourcing, since

limits do not work with quantities.

When you have a cart which is converted to a PO and later on this PO is converted to a limit PO, quantities will not be considered in this PO, so cart will go back to sourcing cockpit.

Not sure if this is the standard or not, but the logic behind the limit and quantity is applied here.

Note 1247922 is related to a scenario when PR is transferred to SRM, which generates a shopping cart.

Whatever change in PR will send the cart back to sourcing. This note stops this.

Regards,

Ricardo
