Hi gurus,
We are in SRM 7, we are using PPS.
As we want to use scale functionality for the response for the Rfx, please suggest me the required configuration settings for the same ASAP.
Thanks in Advance

Hi,
There is not customising required to use scaling feature in Rfx.
When you create an Rfx, create questions and add them. You need to check to be weighed flag for each questions you want scaling.
Navigate to the Weights and Scores tab -- here for questions from the previous step enter the wieght percentage
Also if you choose the details you can set the scaling method you want to use for each questions
Once the bidders enters values for questions in the awards screen you can check the ranking based on price and scaling evalution carried out depending on the scaling method selected,.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Sam

Hi Nitin,
If you have the above explained in place then when you do the response comparison the scaling is done to your prices and ranking is done based on the scaling option you have set example linear, stepped , manual.
For price field you cannot add weights and perfrom scaling by standard.. One way is you can add a question(item level) such that price can be entered as the answer and then you can perfrom the scaling for this question.

Sam

Nitin,
Scaling function can be accomplished by using Conditions tab at item level. Use 'Price' as the condition type. That should show up Scaling icon on the condition level. Then you can click on it and add scaling ranges. When the supplier responds to the bid, they can provide prices based on scales and send back.
