Background job in running with delay

Former Member

Hi ,

In My ECC6.0 System all jobs are running with a delay of approx 90 secs, I checked Work processes are free during all the time still all jobs are running with delay of 90 Sec.

Parameter rdisp/btctime is set to 60 Secs in our system.

Please let us know, what could be other possible reasons of this delay in jobs processing.

Regards,

Shivam Mittal

Hi Shivam,

Is it a constant problem? Or occuring sometimes?

Check whether the free background processes are available.

Hi Orkun,

We are facing this issue since last one week continously for all jobs.

We also have Redwood tool configured in our SAP environment, Jobs running under Redwood tool are going fine but jobs running directly in SAP showing delay of 100 sec approx.

Parameter rdisp/btctime is set to 60 So I expect we should consider maximum delay of 60 secs as per normal SAP behaviour, while earlier delay of 60 sec was also not there in our Jobs.

So there is some issue, Please let us know except Background WP unavailablity what could be other reasons of job delay.

Hi Shivam,

It hard to figure out without connecting to your site. Did you check the dev traces?

Hi Shivam,

Please check whether you have set some parameter to reserve work process for Class A jobs.

In such a case you can increase no of background work processes to help you out from your problem.
