Solman 7.1 upgrade from solman 7.01

Hi,

We have SolMan 7.01 ehp1 at the latest support package as of Oct2011. Business wants to use some new features of 7.1 so we want to upgrade to 7.1

We have a Dev and Prod systems for solman and running on Windows/SQL Server.

We use MOPZ, EWA, CCMS Central Monitoring, BI processchanin Monitoring etc,

If you have done upgrade in your landscape, please help us understand what all we need to be prepared for this task.

1) Are there any prerequisites?

2) Are there any Post Upgrade tasks that we need to perform or is it simply SPAM and JSPM applications?

3) Will there be any impact on existing settings in SMSY, EWAm CCMS etc?

Please provide the valuable comments, so that we can plan ahead of time. We also want to know how much time/effort is needed.

Prequisites would not much, but there would be quite a few post upgrade activities to be done, so that the configured solution manager capabilities run fine after upgrade.

I saw your thread and also need to upgrade from 4.0 to 7.1, could you please provide me any personal doc with screenshots if you have. This would be veru helpfull.

Just to add,

1. There will be no Impact on SMSY, EWA and CCMS.

2. Effort Estimate can be 35-40 hours + Latest SP upgrade for 7.1 (SP3)

3. Applying latest SPs for 7.1 should be included necessarily in the Plan.

In stead of spam/jspm the upgrade to SSM 7.1 is done using the SOLMANUP tool.

All is pretty well documented in the instguides provided by SAP.
