Hi,
I created a script that send java mail. I found that there is mail template and mail configuration in Setup. I just want to know if there is any relation of script with mail template/mail configuration in setup?
Please clarify, as I am trying to build message body through mail and I think it can be done through message template.
Thanks,
Saloni
Hi,
There is no relation with a script in the standard emails available in Setup --> Mail Configurations.
Those emails are triggered based on a specific user action or in some cases by system action. If you browse thorugh each of the 7 pages (if you are on ESO 5.1), then most likely the email that you want will be available in those standard emails.
If not, you can go the scripting route too and trigger the email in the Post or Pre-Script events. For example, there is no system email sent when a contract document is Executed. So you can develop a post phase script event which trigers an email once Contract doc execution happens.
Hope this helps,

Hi Saloni,
Yes, email can be triggered via script as mentioned in the example that I had quoted in my previous post.
It is advisable to turn off the standard email if you are going to send the SAME email via a script. You would need to place the script at suitable post or pre phase events and then trigger based on a user action. You can specify the recipients, email subject, body etc. via the script also.
Thanks,
Vikram
Hi Saloni,
The URL needs to be formatted dynamically. Here is what you can do as an example:
url1="http://sapd003.xxx.xxx.xxx.com:50100/esourcing/fsbuyer/contracts/contracts_summary,";
url2 = ":1004?rqaction=load&link_crumb=true&hook=contract_uirq";
ma_id = parentbean.getDocumentId();
String eMailBody =u201D Click this link to Agreementu201Durl1ma_id+url2;
Hope this helps,
