Warranty Check for Sub equipment

Hello All,

I had create equipment Hierarchy Main Equipment and under that 2 sub equipment.

I had maintained warranty Begin Date and end date in main equipment and tick mark (check box) to INHERIT WARRANTY & PASS ON WARRANTY

Now when I process sub equipment in service order system is not checking warranty of main equipment and not showing any warranty information.

How to display main item warranty for sub equipment?

Wich are the steps for the solution of my problem?

You have to maintain serial number profile for each sub equipment to pass on warranty. The you have to create a structure

Main item to Sub Item, so that while checking the warranty for sub equipment, you will come to know that particular sub equipment belongs to the main material.

Ex

Car has a warranty of 5 yrs

Battery has seperate warranty of only 2 yrs

if customer will bring the defective battery , then you need to check whether it is under warranty or not, by entering its equipment no, and does this battery really belongs to that car?

you can maintain the structure in IE01 by selecting STRUCTURE TAB.

Hi sir,

Even for the sub equipment , It is sujjested to maintaiin a Serial number profile and then creat the sub equipment and while creating please do mention the warranty biggening dates as well as warranty end dates and save.

it sould work out.
