DR Query

Dear All,

I am having one query related to DR setup in Maxdb.

1.Like at the time of Production Crash i will apply all the latest logs available on DR site.

2.Will make the DR site up.

On the below step i am having doubt ...?

When user's will login in the DR system and will do some transaction's than how it will get reflected on the Production system ?

As per my knowledge we have to take the complete backup of DR system and have to copy back on Production system and have to do the restore until latest log backup's available from DR site.

Do we have any other option than this like we are having in Oracle --> Graceful switchover.

Hi Sahil,

if a disaster occurs, your production does not exist anymore. Completely destroyed

In that event, the DR system will become the new production, and it will be for quite a long time. You must be sure that in the event of a disaster this switch can works with as little problems as possible
