updating final invoice field in the R3 PO

I have a button on the PO in SRM for the users to press to update the final invoice field (amongst other things). I can get this to update the PO in SRM ok by using function module BBP_PDH_DB_DIRECT_UPDATE. I haven't been able to get this to update the back-end R3 system though. Can anyone suggest a function module I can call to do this?

I'm just wondering if an RFC call to BAPI_PO_CHANGE in R3 will do the trick.
