HI Experts

Why do we have level0 ,level 1 in the objects of infocube and query when we use olap(sap bw) server as the connection.

ex if we have employee name then it will be represented as

employee name level o

employee name level 1

why is it so?

Thanks in advance

Hi

If we create universe with SAP data

if you look at the universe on the left hand side you can see the panel called OBJECT PANE .Where you can find numnber of objects

A single object may have same name with two different level

eg empolyee level o

employee level 1

that means level 0 represents the aggregated data

level 1 represents the normal data

thanks

Hi,

Agree with what has has been said already.

It's just how our Semantic Layer 'abstracts' the OLAP provider.

It ia also possible to chose NOT to create the L00-level when generating the universe (there's an option for it)

Hi,

If we create OLAP universe it always shows Level 0 and Level 01 and so on.

In our report if we have to show aggregated data then we use Level 0. This avoids having to create the aggregate field in the Web Intelligence report. If we don't have to use aggregate data then we always use Level 01.

If you are working with hierarchies then choose the level of hierarchy you want to display this may be level 02, level03 and so on.
