system copy error :NIECONN REFUSED - Connect to message server (sap/3900)

Hi Team,

we are doing systemcopy for ECC 6.0 sr3, MS SQL server2005 ABAP+JAVA instance.

we are facing issue while doin the source system export .

NIECONN REFUSED - Connect to message server (sap/3900) , start the message server .

Kindly assist us .

Hello,

Normally message server port should be 36xx where xx is the instance number, I think 3900 is the internal message server port.

At what moment of SAPinst EXPORT execution you face this error ? Is SAP/DB up ? you need to stop SAP before actual export begins and database should keep running.
