Hello,

Please check with the Notes -

Note 833766 - Oracle Database 10g: Software installation problems 10.1.0

Note 1203597 - libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Note 1496410 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x: Installation and Upgrade

Also please try to confirm whether Oracle 10g installation is supported on RedHat 6 or not.

Thanks

Thanks for the help, but few more things to mention,

my current java version shows as 1.6.0.17, shouldn't it be 1.4.2

From where can I download following rpms

java-1.4.2-ibm-sap-1.4.2.13.9.sap-1jpp.1.el6.x86_64.rpm

java-1.4.2-ibm-sap-devel-1.4.2.13.9.sap-1jpp.1.el6.x86_64.rpm

Some more help will be needed. Thanks.

Hello,

It can be either JDK 1.4.2 or SAP JVM depending on the NW release you are trying to install.

There must be some notes mentioned for the java version for the specific platform in the NW installation guide you are following.

Thanks

Hello,

Were you having the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: awt (libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

You were using SAP jvm or IBM JDK?

Can you please post the packages you have installed to solve your problem.

Thanks
