Other JVMs than CrEme

Hi all.

We probably want to use Intermec PDAs for MAU. We need to extend the application in order to use the imager to create pictures of devices. Intermec ships some DLLs which can be used to create pictures. I want to use this DLLS in our extended MAU app.

Intermec says that only Intermec certified JVMs should be used for using the DLLs (eg. BM WebSphere Micro Environment (WME) v5.5). My question is whether MI can be used on any JVM for PDAs or only CrEme should be used.

Furthermore I have problems using the shipped Imager class of Intermec. I get the java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkException

when loading the DLL. I have read something here about a problem with WIN CE and virtual memory regarding this error. Does anybody use DLLs with CrEme and can tell me how to do it?

Again thank you very much for any help.

Best regards,

Sascha

Hi Sasha,

As of now there is no JVM other than Creme that supports MI. Furthermore, if you are using Win Mobile 5.0, you must use Creme 3.27a.

Hope this helps!
