Dear Experts,
We have a quality system and planning to install stand-by server of this Quality System. Accordingly, we install stand-by server with same Hostname, System No & SID but as soon as we started this system it corrupted its DATABASE (ORA 10g).
Can somebody explain me how we could configure standby system as far as hostname, systemNo & SID concerned. Should it be same as Quality system or we need to configure new settings ?
Regards,
Yogesh

Hello Yogesh
I hope you can not have same host name in single domain.
Try using a different host name it should work.

HI,
use homogenous system copy.
1. install fresh SAP.
2. Take database copy of source system to target system (fresh installed)
3. Refer database specific steps from Homogenous system copy method.
Thanks
Ganesh
