Hi

In order to remove accounting tab, create new master agreement type.

1. go to Set Up-> Document Set Up-> Master Agreement Type

2. Create a new docuemnt type or duplicate an existing one (Document-> Duplicate)

3. In features do not check Accounting

This new master agreement type can be used to create documents or templates for non US region

Hi Mudit,

Thank you so much for the reply.

Can't we gray out this tab with creating new agreement type? like by writing script to disable this tab when owner of this document is from non-US. Why i am asking is because if we create one more agreement type this may confuse users (I feel)

Thanks much for your help in advance.

Hi,

Another way of hiding accounting tab is via toolbar customization.

Customization Type: Global and Navigation

Target Toolbar ID:contracts.toolbar.contracts.accounting

You can also override and rename it to something else if needed.

Hi Gurvi,

If I am correct then you want the Accounting tab visible but disabled.

Well, AFAIK you cannot 'grey out' this tab.

But you can try an alternative approach: You can lock all the fields in this particular tab. In this way, the tab is visible but the fields inside it are non-editable. You 'll have to use IapiDocumentLockManager APIs for this.

Be aware that this is a resource intensive way. I would suggest you go by the approach suggested above and hide it.

Thanks
