Multilevel ATP - Correlation Profile

Hi,

the scenario is MATP. Product allocations are maintained for both parent and component material in APO DP planning area.

The allocations maintained at component level are the constraint.

The quantity confirmation at parent level should be based on availability at component level.

I would like to know if 'correlation calculation' settings are mandatory for this scenario because as of now though the system is showing component in tree structure during sales order creation, it is not restricting (reducing) availability of parent material based on restricted allocations maintained for the component.

What settings need to be done in case it is required ?

Dear RS,

please consider followings about correlation calculation: Where a component is partially available, during the multi-level ATP check you can calculate which production quantity is feasible on the finished product level (correlation calculation).From this, you can then define a partial confirmation for the sales order.The correlation calculation carries out a proportional adjustment of the finished product based on the components that are least available.No distinction is made here between the fixed and variable portion of the bill of material factors.

If you want the correlation calculator in SAP APO to behave like the delivery group correlation in the ERP system it is not necessary to make any settings. SAP delivers two standard correlation profiles that behave correspondingly. If you would like to use the enhanced features of the correlation calculation, you can either change these standard profiles or define your own correlation profile. If you define your own correlation profile, you must also use the enhancement Change Correlation Profile.
