Hello,

Rent escalation :-

1. If it is fixed $ or % increase clause mentioned in the Contract up front, then you can use the grading functionality and set up conditions for future with expected escalations. You cannot control this using rent adjustment reports and tools.

2. Other way is to set up Free Adjustment rule in config which will allow you to assign % or $ values at the time of execution of rent adjustment. Of course you can activate the rule up front too. This method lets you use standard adjustment functionality, approval process, activation, rejection etc. Similarly you can set up index based adjustment too, little complicated (due to different base year scenarios).

Hi,

Go to the contract select the condition type and select generate grading. In it you can enter grading percentage and the time period after which the grading will take effect. the system will create different line items of the same condition type with different validity periods in the condition type.

Hi Deepak

Without using the grading functionality , I suppose we could use the validity period for a new condition to take effect from a future date by giving the increased amount.

On the other hand , tried generating grading for a fixed condition and couldnt generate...any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi Karthik,

what deepak said is correct method.

Either create condition types with different validity's or use incremental, both are same.
