Staging Date in Delivery and ATP

Hello Experts

I have a generic question.

If the staging date in delivery (SD outbound delivery) is different to material availability date in sales order, what could it possibly imply other than any special logic of copy controls at delivery creation that may make it such.

As I understand based on my nascent observations and intuition, if a delivery is being created for full quantity, the delivery is either created or not created (only 0 stock available) when subjected to ATP check. If created the staging date should be same as material availability date in sales order, that being the definition of staging date !

Please advise.

Hi guru,

Yes, it should be the same date usually. I can only imagine that there is a misfunction/userexit which changes the date.

Please check if you can reproduce the issue and raise a new message at SAP.

Sorry, without checking an example it is hard to tell you the root cause.

This helps. It was different because of user exit.
