Printing label with SATO CG408 printer problem

Hi experts,

I'm printing barcode label from Smartform to label printer SATO CG408 and meet some problems:

- When I have imported SATO drivers and YSTCPCL2.PRI device type, created device output and print with access method U. Barcode quantity is ok, I can scan. But unicode character (Vietnamese in my case) change to "#" characters. I tried to cascading font using RSCPSETCASCADINGFONTS program but useless

- When I setup Windows driver for printer server and printing with access method S, device type SWINF, unicode character is ok. But barcode quantity is not ok, I cannot scan

Please give me advice to printing with both unicode and bar code quantity

Thanks & Best Regards,

Luong

Hi,

There are 2 possiblities.

1. Ask SATO for a Unicode device type. This will only work if internally the printer contains Unicode/Vietnamese fonts and character set.

2. Use SWINCF and install a barcode dll into the wondows server to support the barcode printing. See point 2 of SAP note #1557674.
