Hi,
Is there a way to localize the MII Navigation?
We are on MII 12.1.8
Thanks
Udayan
Hello Udayan, there is no out of the box way to localise navigation (that I knowof...).
You'll have really two main options:
option 1 - create a customised theme where you use localisation values arlready stored in the localisation of the application and leverage on the navigation interface to get the structure.
option 2 - translate the navigation tree for each language and create a specific roles for each language you have. You then associate the roles to users depending on their language. (for security reason and authorisation on transaction you will need a generic role -> it is then better to simplify the things by using a UME group and allocating the 2 roles (navigation + access) to the security group).
Option 1, is nice and generic though it requires some devs.
Option 2, is the easiest way to get something in place and running and it's not so complex to maintain.
Cheers,
Arnaud
