Cache problem

Hi Guru:

There is no data in our cache table.

We checked the parameter com.sap.analytics.aui.bi.nw.NWBIDataService.cache, and the value is NOT true.

But when we execute the report, there is no records in the tables:

OPMDM_PRECALC_A

OPMDM_PRECALC_B

OPMDM_PRECALC_C

I checked the function modules, it seems all the cache function module will look at the table

OPMDM_PRECALC_ST, and it is blank, it will not do anything.

In our system, this table is blank.

What should be maintained is this table?

Hi Eric,

If the parameter is NOT true, then SPM cache will not be used. You will also need to have SP6 patch 4. It has some fix for the cache.

Actually we set it to True but the cache table is blank, so we wonder whether this parameter means to use BW OLAP cache.

We will set it back to true and try the patch 4.

But could you tell me, what should be in the OPMDM_PRECALC_ST table?

Hi Eric,

Patch 4 fixed it for us.

We have seen no value of the OPMDM_PRECALC_ST table. When you have applied patch 4, you should start to see the PRECALC_A table become populated with XML.
