Integration with MDM 5.5 was earlier done by File adapter. We have upgratded MDM to versioin 7.1 SP 06 and will be using the MDM PI adapter.
The PI version is 7.0 SP 18.
The MDMPI adapter was installed 2 years back and adapter metadata too is available with the following are its details.
Using the same a communication channel was configured but the communication channel showed an error "Configuration: null".
From other forums and notes, it was found that the MDM_ADAPTER SP should be 06.
Existing Components deployed on PI are:
Component Release Service Pack
MDM_ADAPTER 710.700 2.0
MDM_JAVA_API 5.50 6.4
mdm.tech.connector 5.50 6.4
mdm.tech.mdm4j 5.50 6.4
MDM_WEB_SERVICES 550 6.4
Can you please guide through the process answering the following:
1. Are the above components enough for the MDMPI adapter to function?
2. If so do we need to upgrade the releases and SP?
3. Any other pre-requisites?
4. Any SAP note or guide that will provide the above solutions as well as end-to-end installation steps?
5. Points to be noted/ precautions to be taken?
