EDI Message type

Hello guru's

I am configuring the edi setup for billing documents.

Just a quick question, I need to set it up for idoc type INVOIC01 so which message type should I use for the same DEBMAS?

Please suggest.

Hi,

Its INVOIC for Invoices and you should use INVOIC03 for IDoc type..check with your ABAP team.

Yes, thats right, just a quick question, I have maintained the output type with salesorg/bp.

I need to assign at the partner profile level with the edi system?

The details have to be defined in t.code WE20.

I configured partner profile in we20, but system still giving the same error.

partner type has to be LS right?

and also any particular tab or settings in outbound parameter?

what error?

other settings reqd are: process code i.e. SD09 for invoic and application = v3 and the output type through which this IDoc will be triggered and partner type = LS.

Rags, I will check them again but getting two errors as below mentioned.

**"This output has not been defined for medium 6 and partner function LS"** this is at condition record level vv31.

Maintain outgoing EDI-connection data for partner IWAYLOG " this is at the output level for billing document,

Aman, regd the 1st error: did you configure your output type with medium 6?

Also for the partner# IWAYLOG ensure this is maintained as LS with the reqd outbound parameters in WE20.

Yes, Rags, I did both the settings, but still getting the error thats wht my question is.

Any tab you want me to look at.

I met same problem, the error message is " Maintain outgoing EDI-connection data for partner 1000".

And I add an record in the tab of message control(Double click message type). Like Application is EF, Message type is NEU, Process code is ME10.

I uesed outbound.
