SOY8 - Archiving of emails

Hello,

We're looking forward to the archiving options of the millions of emails that are in SO* tables like SOST/SOFFCONT1/SOC3 etc.

I stumbled upon following thread

that mentions about using SOY8 txn.

Has anyone got prior experience in archiving of emails?

SOY8 is bit unclear to me.

hi,

In general, it is not recommended to use the archiving of SAPoffice documents (e-mails) anymore. It has been shown that this is of very little use and seldom used by most ppl.

However, in general, archiving is done with archiving object 'SOAARCHIVE', maybe you can have a look at the following online documentation link:

For email messages in SOST, they are only temporary data; after transfering

these messages and a certain time passed, there is a general house-keeping report (RSBCS_REORG) that will delete the messages from SOST.
