Hi Jai,

As said by Michal, just ask the BASIS personnel as to whether yout mail server can be accessed from XI, and check with them whether the ports have been opened.

Also, please check with your office email admin team whether the smtp address entered here, is correct or not.

cheers,

Prashanth

hi,

There is an error:

<i>2006-08-29 14:46:44 Error SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_11 1156843004953 Exception caught by adapter framework: Failed to call the endpoint

2006-08-29 14:46:44 Error SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_11 1156843004953 Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: Failed to call the endpoint.</i>

Pleas can you cross check the parameters in the Mail adapter?

Hi Vijaya,

The parameters in mail adapter are

Transport Protocol : SMTP

Message Protocol : XIALL

Adapter Engine : Integration Server

url : smtp://<server name>.caritor.com

user : jaishankar

password : ******

From : jaishankar.ramakrishnan@caritor.com

To : jaishankar.ramakrishnan@caritor.com

Subject : test mail from XI

I think these parameters are correct. Is there any way to cross verify the same?

Thanks & Regards,

Jai Shankar.

hi,

parameters seem to be correct

what you can check is to ask your basis

people if your XI server has access

to the company mail server (opened ports, etc.)

Hi,

the basis people have to check if mail port

from XI server machine are opened to the

server machine where mail server is located

so it there's any communication from XI to mail server
