Upgrade from 5 to 7 - master data?

Hi all,

We are in the prcoess of upgrading our SRM 5 system to SRM 7.

Can asnyone help me with this Basic basis related question:

When the development/q instances need to be upgraded from 5 to 7 version,is it better to upgrade the system with all the master data and configuration data?

Hi,

Since you are upgrading the Dev SRM 5.o to Dev SRM 7.0.

All the master data which is residing in the SRM 5.0 will remain the same in SRM 7.0.
