I have created a simple workflow in MDM consisting of the following steps: Start --> Process --> Approve --> Stop.
The process step has one user assigned to and has execution type "Any single".
The approve step has another (only one) user assigned to it and has execution type "Any single"
My problem is that once the approver has accepted the approve step, all possible options in the workflow-tab are greyed-out except for "Set priority" and "Show history". Therefore, the workflow can never be completed...
I have worked with MDM Workflows for several years (from MDM 5.5 SP3 and onwards) and and I know there have been problems such as this before. I have tested the above scenario in MDM 7.1 SP2, SP6 and SP7 without success....
Can anyone help before I create an OSS?
Best Regards,
Hannes
Hi Hannes,
Please tell me if you are doing these:
1.Assuming control.
2.Marking as done.
3.Marking as approved.
4.checking for Next Step.
Also check if the users rights are not too limited.
Kindly let me know your findings.
Thanks,
Ravi

Hello Ravi,
Se my answers below:
1.Assuming control Answer: I have tried assuming with the owner of the workflow, but with the same result here - All options are greyed-out.
2.Marking as done. Answer Greyed out for the approver
3.Marking as approved. Answer: Greyed out for the approver
4.checking for Next Step. Answer: Greyed out for the approver
Also check if the users rights are not too limited. Answer: The users have Admin-rights!

Hello Hannes,
We faced similar problem when we upgraded MDM from 5.5 SP5 to 5.5 SP6.
That time we found the solution in "Start" step properties.
Whether any user or just the owner can send to the next step is based upon the setting of the Send Next Step property of the Start step.
Please try changing "Sent Next Step" property value of "Start" step.

Hello Ravi,
Yes, you are correct.
Here is how the behavior should be...
When "Start" step "Send Next Step" property is...
1. Owner - any Done action on Process or Approve step will send the workflow back to Owner.
2. Launcher - any Done action on Process or Approve step will send the workflow back to Launcher.
3. Anyone - any Done action will activate Sent Next action for the anyone.
Hello Ravi and Shailesh,
I now know that you need to mark each record within a worflow as "Aproved" before being able to send to next step. Thank you for your help. In earlier releases you could only mark the workflow-job as Approved or disaproved, not each record within the workflow. Thank you for your help!
