SUP: control application settings from Sybase Control center

Hi all,

in Sybase Wired Platform is possible to set some application parameter from sybase control center?

Let me explain, i want to store in the application settings a parameter and i don't want the user to change it , but only the IT administrator from the Sybase Control Center.

There is some way to achieve this result?

Hi,

why so complicated - why do you not simply setup a databse in backend, this can be edited by a few people only and its values will be syncrhonized to the device. So the user can not change it - but the IT persons can. Is this not an option for you?

Hi,

cause the SUP permits to integrate different system and these system may have different credentials (SAP ERP and an external authenticated webservices for example),

I want to know if SUP can automatically manage the credentials for the system i want to call otherwise i have to manage them in some external table (like you correctly suggest).
