SAP SD Divestiture project

Hi All,

We are doing a project where our client is selling a division of his business. With in SAP we have decided to split the business with a different company code and create everything new under this company code. I was wondering what are the things we need to consider in SD area. Anybody has done a similar projects, If yes your inputs would be appreciated.

Hi,

Since a new company code is being created without the sold division, Entire SD module needs customised. But without the necessary objects like sales areas, pricing etc.,

The difference would be in

1. uploading the customer master data - where the customers belonging to the sales ares (with sold division) need not be uploaded in case they do not have outstanding balances.

2. Cutover data - Open Orders with materials pertaining to the sold dvision need not be updated.
