Support Pack Upgrade of a Subset

Hi Gurus,

I am planning to perform an upgrade on SAP_HRCDE.component only.

I do not want to upgrade entire SAP_HR.

I have downloaded the files of this component only.

As far as i know, SPAM is used for an upgrade, I have done this millions of time.

But i want to know how to just upgrade the single component, Is there any specific steps to do it.??

Hi John,

Apart from the above posts, i just want to add my comments which may helpful.

Regarding upgrdation of subset, normally SAP delivers it depends on a particular issue within in a single SAP note. If this is the case, the you can apply thru S-note transaction. For this you don't have to apply entire component, you need to met pre-requisites only.

What is the ECC or SAP_HR release and version ?

Hi,

Process is still same whether you upgrade single component or whole stack. You just need to take if there any prerequisite of the patch that you want to upgrade.
