Upgrade AC 5.3 SP08 to SP17 - XML, Rule, Message Files

We are upgrading from GRC AC 5.3 SP08 to SP17. Durring the post-installation, we'll need to upload the .XML files, Rule files, and Message files. Based on SAP Note 1584134, it says "The corresponding files for each support pack level need to be reimported after each support pack level upgrade as part of the post upgrade installation."

Do I need to upload these files for each SP level between SP08 and SP17? Or can I just upload the files pertaining to SP17?

Hi,

you should only upload the files related to the SP level you are upgrading, as per all the corrections in the previous SP will be included in the latest one.

Also the backend rta need to be at the required sp level.

No, you need to upload files for SP17 only once the system will be upgraded to SP17.
