Hi.
We have a NWDI running on a 711 standalone Java instance. I want to develop a component thats going to run on a 7.1 PI dual stack instance.
Does anyone know where I can find the SCA files I need on the PI instance? Or can I download them from SAP or are they on the installation CD's?
I assume I then have to copy them to the inbox directory of the NWDI instance and check them in.
Thanks
Rodney
Regarding your other question, first you have to create your software in SLD and assign the required SCs (see previous note as it is depending on what you intend to develop) as build time dependencies. After this you need to create a track (based on the product you created in SLD -- and for this do not forget to trigger "update CMS" since without this you won't be able to find the software created by you in SLD when trying to specify it in your track ), copy the required SCs into the CMS/inbox, and then Check-in and Import into Development buildspace. When it is done, you can start up your NWDS and download the development configuration of this track into your NWDS.
UPDATE, sorry, the word "forget" was missing I forgot the word "forget" )

Hi,
please have a look at the following note:
#1465468 - Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.1 Track
(http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1465468)
You find the SCAs on the service marketplace.
An example:
http://service.sap.com/patches --> Browse our Download Catalog -->
SAP NetWeaver and complementary products --> SAP NETWEAVER CE -->
SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1 --> Entry by Component -->
Application Server Java
Best Regards,
Ervin
