Hi all

we are planning to install more dialogue isntances for our PROD environment. I am using ERP 6.0 Ehp4 ready SR1(ABAP). One thing that we noticed was the dialogue instance starts automatically after installation with 3 BTC process in it, which worries me if any batch jobs will use them though its not added to Logon groups or RFC load balancing. is there a way in which i can prevent the instance from starting automatically during installation ?

As soon as the kernel is extracted rename "startsap" to something else, sapinst will then run into an error and stops and you can change the instance profile.

Thanks Marks .. I found an option by editing the startsap() function in control.xml after the extraction phase
