batch determination in delivery

Hi All,

I have an STO and when creating delivery via VL10I I get an error "doc is incomplete, you cannot save delivery". I have all the sufficient data in STo for delivery creation. Infact there should be batch strategy not taking place i guess.

When I enter batch number in STO then a delivery is created, why? batch shd be determined automatically when creating deliveries.

But there is no issue is quality system with same materials and plants I can create deliveries..

Hello

If your batch determination config are ok.

Then check the Delv Item Cat (0VLP) is active for Automatic batch determination indicator.

Also, Do check whether Batch search stategy(VCH3) is maintained.

Prakas, thanks for the reply.

Issue is only with only one material, I do not have anny issues in creating deliveries for STOs for other materails between two plants which means config is OK.

I do not find any changes done recently to material to have issues. I am worried what could be the problem with THAT material?

In batch search stategy (VCH3), for your this material,

check.

- SelType batch det. (it should be blank)

- Indicator for Dialog batch determination (batch determination is to be run in the background, do not set the indicator.)

- Also, check the validity period.

Trust me Prakash, every thig is fine even in VCH3.

You know what, in quality system I have same material, same settings in VCH3 and I can create deivery succesfully...Its strange...no changes to material master.

Issue is only with only one material

It seems, the field Batch Management in material master Sales Gen./Plant view is not ticked for this material. Check that.
