Hi Gurus,

In some projects we can maintain VKOA entries directly in preproducation or production where as in some you may have to transport these entries.

My question is that how and where do you make these entires that whether the entries in table will create a request or they can be maintained directly.

The problem is that in PRD VKOA is editable where as in Dev and in QAS it is not . Normally G/L account entries are transported after testing in QAS

To ensure the objects are non-modifiable, please perform the

following steps:

- Call transaction SOBJ -> Maintain

- Doubleclick on the affected objects, e.g. table C501, C502 etc. (these

are the tables you are maintaining in transaction VKOA)

- Delete the flag 'Current settings'

- Save the entries

Hi Komal,

In PRD people used to login through firefighter ID and perform the maintenance in VKOA transaction itself. But it is not advisable, so you can make a check as described in the previous post to avoid this.
