Dear Friends,
I need some help in understanding Solution Manager.we are looking into implementing solution manager, my question is will solution manager implementing reduces the SAP downtime whilst running Patching, how can we use sol man effectively in day to day operations and in order to use CUA do we need to configure CUA in ECC first.
Thanks
Hello,
>> will solution manager implementing reduces the SAP downtime whilst running
No, I don't think so.
>> how can we use sol man effectively in day to day operations
Please refer the Solution manager configuration guide and try to refer service.sap.com/solutionmanager
There are a number of useful support operations it provides, just to begin with -
1. SAP Remote services, for e.g. EWA
2. Service desk, ticket logging
3. CHARM, change management system
4. CCMS, to monitor ECC/remote systems
5. Diagnostics, to monitor Java systems
>> in order to use CUA do we need to configure CUA in ECC first.
Not sure, please study CUA implementation guide once. And our other colleagues will be able to help us here for this.
Thanks
