Hi Experts,
There is a requirement to have automatic batch determination in the Delivery document besides those batch nos should be sorted based on their production date.
I tried assigning a Z sort rule which has only the production date(PRODUCTION_DATE) as the characteristic in Batch condition record.
Despite maintaining this,System is not sorting the batches based on their production date.
I have 3 batches in MMBE
Batch name Production Date
Batch1 - 09/29/2011
Batch2 - 09/29/2011
Batch3 - 09/28/2011
In this scenario system should sort Batch 3 as 1st batch which is not happening..System sorts Batch1,Batch2 & Batch3 order....
Need your advice ont his...
Thank you in
Hi,
1. Include date as a charecteristic for the Batch material in MMR. Maintain production date in this field.
2. in CU70 Maintain sort sequence, by selecting the charecteristic and flag asending or desending.
3. Assign this sort sequence to Condition type / stretegy type, also please check whether topdown / bottomdown assignment in Qty proposal field is maintained.
4. Maintain Batch search strtegy in VCH1
Hope this will help.

Sharan
