ECC to SCM ATP

We have a case where the buyer wants the purchasing confirmation to be ignored by MRP (confirmation control key will do this) but they do want the confirmation to be used for ATP in SCM. Any ideas?

Hi Stephen,

What does it mean when you say confirmation to be used in ATP ?. Is the location where purchasing requriement (release) is created relevant in APO ? If so, the requirement can be atleast technically confirmed against ATP qty logic. You can also control how the requirement itself is planned, transferred and assigned in APO using check mode and checking group

If you are referring to puchasing confirmation in third party scenrio (purchasing from external vendor delivered to customer directly or through a planned location in APO) you need to be a bit ingenious in what it means to confirm the purchasing requirement. You can e.g. use inbound delivery and ASN documents to confirm the PO in former case.

I am saying the PO confirmation are used in ATP. So if the PO due date is 11/15/2011 and the confirmation date is 11/30/2011, the ATP check in SCM would use the 11/30/2011 date.

What the user wants is in MD04 the purchase order to be sone with a due date of 11/15/2011 (this can be done by the confirmation control key) but the ATP in SCM to have the 11/30/2011 date.

Hope this helps expain the issue.

Hi Stephen,

If I understand correctly you want to see different requirement dates in ECC and APO?. This is possible with small development in CIF user-exit (ECC outbound or APO inbound).

Also reassure that the screen you see for PO confirmation is not necessarily an ATP screen but a PO scheduling screen (they look identical though). You wont always see this PO scheduling screen if the requirement date is much out in the future vis a vis the planned delivery time in the source of supply (vendor master or vendor inforecord). See which system are you in when you see the confirmation (scheduling) screen, If you are still in ECC then this confirmation is not because of ATP check
